The network only works if everyone publishes the links the way they were written. These are non-negotiable. Violating them gets your site suspended after one warning.
Do
Keep the anchor text exactly as written. The anchor is selected to fit each target's keyword strategy. Rewording it weakens the SEO value for the recipient.
Keep the rel attribute as "dofollow" (or simply remove the rel attribute - browsers and Google treat unspecified rel as dofollow). The point of the network is dofollow.
Keep the href exactly as written, including the https://.
Surrounding prose can be lightly edited. Fix typos, change the tone slightly to match your voice - but don't surgically remove sentences that flank the links.
Add your own opening or closing paragraph if you want. A short intro in your voice helps the article feel native to your site.
Don't
Don't add rel="nofollow", rel="sponsored", or rel="ugc" to the embedded links. We monitor for this. The moment our daily crawler sees a nofollow flag we flag your account and email you to remove it.
Don't change the anchor text. Even subtle changes ("the best SEO tool" → "an SEO tool") count.
Don't change the destination URL.
Don't redirect the article URL after publishing. If you redirect, we treat it as "missing" and start the 7-day re-route clock.
Don't unpublish the post within 90 days. If you genuinely need to remove it, email us first.
What happens if a link goes missing or nofollow?
Our daily monitor catches it within 24 hours.
We email you with a one-line "your post X has a missing link to Y" notice.
You have 7 days to fix it.
After 7 days we assign a replacement target and email you a fresh anchor + href to swap in.
Repeated missing-link incidents (3+ in a month) trigger account suspension.
